There is a Motor Equipment Operator opening in the Highway Department for the Town of Friendship.

This work differs from that of the laborer in that it involves responsibility for the operation and maintenance of a truck or other automotive equipment. Work is performed under the supervision of a department supervisor. Does related work as required.

Working knowledge of operation and maintenance of trucks, tractors and/or other types of specialized construction equipment; ability to follow oral and written instructions; willingness to perform routine manual work; good mechanical aptitude; reliability; industry; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

MINIMUM

QUALIFICATIONS:

One year of experience in the operation of some type of automotive

equipment.

Special Requirement for Acceptance of Application:

Candidate must possess appropriate New York State Motor Vehicle License for equipment operated, with appropriate CDL
