Program Funding, Section 5310
Belmont, N.Y. – Transportation providers and other interested parties are hereby notified that Allegany County, located at 7 Court Street, Belmont, NY is applying for federal grant funds in the amount of $616,241 under Section 5310 of Chapter 53 of Title 49, United States Code, to enhance public transportation services and improve mobility options for older adults and individuals with disabilities in Allegany County.
The purpose of this notice is to invite private for-profit bus, taxi, ambulette operators and other interested parties in the development of the proposed grant project to enhance transportation services for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Service providers and interested parties should contact the Allegany County Administrator’s Office by calling 585-268-9217 or by email countyadmin
@alleganyco.gov for a copy of the proposed project
information or to provide comments on the proposed project within 15 calendar days after receiving the
proposed project
information.
Allegany County, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and New York State Labor Law; Article 8 – Public Work, Section 220e, hereby notifies all contractors that it will affirmatively ensure that any contracts awarded as a result of this proposal solicitation will be awarded without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, sex, or
national origin.
