ELECTION

NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the

annual election of the Scio Fire

District Board of

Commissioners will take place on

December 9, 2025, between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM at the Scio Community Building, Vandermark Road, Scio, NY.

The election will be held for the purpose of electing one (1) Commissioner for a 5- year term commencing on January 1, 2026, and ending December 31, 2030, currently held by Mike Lasnick, incumbent.

Also, a second position, electing (1) commissioner to fill out the remaining three (3) years of a second Commissioner commencing on January 1, 2026, and ending December 31, 2028, currently held by Randy Harms – appointee.

All voters registered with the

Allegany County Board of Elections to vote in the Town of Scio on or before November 17, 2025 will be eligible to vote.

Candidates interested in being put on the ballot for either of these offices shall mail a letter of interest to Cathy Farwell, Scio Fire District

Secretary, P.O.

Box 27, Scio, NY, 14880. Letters need to be

received no later than December

5, 2025, or drop off letters of interest to the Scio Town Clerks office

addressed

to Cathy Farwell as well. Town Clerks hours are Tuesday’s, and Thursday’s noon to 4:00 PM, and Saturday’s 8:00 AM to noon, also by December 5th, 2025. Please

specify which office you are interested in.
