Notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of the Olean City School District,

Cattaraugus

County, NY herein called the Owner, on Wednesday April 1, 2026 at 3pm at the Olean City School District Olean Senior High School Board Room, will receive sealed proposals for the 410 West Sullivan Street, Olean, NY 14760, will receive sealed proposals for the District’s 2025-2027 Capital Outlay Project.

The bids will be, at that date, time, and place, publicly opened and read aloud. All work shall be done in accordance with drawings and specifications prepared by Young + Wright Architectural, 50 Elk Street, Suite 200, Buffalo, NY 14210. All bidders shall be expected to keep bid prices firm for 45 days from date of bid opening, during which time the Owner will be able to make awards therein.

Plans and specifications are available to prime contractors on Wednesday March 11, 2026, by contacting Avalon Document

Services at (716) 995-7777 or visiting their online plan room at www.avalonplanroom.com. A deposit of $25.00 per set will be required & shall be made out to Olean CSD. If you should have any questions, please contact Young + Wright

A pre-bid conference will be held to discuss the scope of the projects, tour the site, and answer bidder questions on March 25, 2026, at 3pm. The meeting shall start at the Olean Intermediate Middle School, 410 West Sullivan Street, Olean, NY 14760 and will proceed from there.

The deposit will be refunded to all Prime Contractor Bidders returning the drawings and specifications in good, unmarked condition within thirty (30) working days after the bid opening. Prime contractors who are non-bidders returning complete sets in good, unmarked condition with the above time limit will be refunded also. No part of the

deposit will be refunded for partial and/or damaged sets of the

drawings and

specifications.

Bid bond payable to the owner shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to re-advertise for new bids and to waive informalities and

irregularities in

connection with any bid.

Bidders will note the required conditions of employment and the minimum New York State Labor Department prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to advertise a new, and to award a contract for the whole or such portion of the work as it determines to be in the best interest of the District.
