ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Kaspien Holdings Inc. (KSPN) on Thursday reported a loss of $1.4 million in its fiscal first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Albany, New York-based company said it had a loss of 61 cents.

The specialty retailer posted revenue of $40.6 million in the period.

Kaspien Holdings Inc shares have increased 84% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $26.98, more than quadrupling in the last 12 months.
