ALLEGANY — Organizers say delicious pasta primavera, scrumptious salads and mouth-watering desserts — all made with farm-fresh produce — will be served at this year’s Field to Fork Lunch Heavenly Harvest at Canticle Farm.
The fifth-annual benefit will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 8 at Canticle Farm’s South Nine Mile Road property and is open to the public.
“All the items are made with something from the farm, so it’s really a field-to-fork” vegetarian lunch, said Sister Joyce Ramage, director of the farm. “And it’s a fun afternoon.”
Sister Ramage said the farm has been seeking sponsors for the event during the past couple of months and has a large number who have helped. Additional sponsors are welcome to donate; in doing so, they will receive tickets for the lunch. All funds received for the benefit will be tilled back into the farm, Sister Ramage explained.
