This is in reply to the letter to the editor in Friday’s edition, “Police Callous in Killing Dog.”

My first thought was, “Are you kidding me, Mary Link?” I think I safely speak for the public when I say that we do not care about your dog.

What we do care about is more drugs off the streets and that one more alleged drug dealer has been apprehended through the efforts of the Olean Police Department and the Southern Tier Drug Task Force.

Apparently, you care more about your dog than the effects of drugs in your house and on your children, your neighborhood and your own future. There would have been zero chance of your dog getting shot had you not allegedly had drugs in your house.

You should be worried about the very real possibility of jail time in your future and the personal embarassment of such association. Take responsibility for your own actions.
