Naomi Elaine Bump, March 17, 1948–Oct. 16, 2026

PORTVILLE — Naomi Elaine Bump went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday (Oct. 16, 2026).
Naomi loved her Savior, Jesus. Her faith was the foundation of her life. She cherished her family and the time she spent with them.
Naomi was a woman who willingly sacrificed for those she loved, devoting countless hours to caring for her family and being present in their lives. She was known for her strong work ethic, her willingness to help others in whatever way she could, and her generous heart.
Naomi was a skilled seamstress who also had a love for music. She found joy in serving the Lord through her church, Portville Baptist Church, where she faithfully gave of herself.
Naomi loved Philippians 3:20–21, which reminds believers that their citizenship is in heaven and that they await the return of their Savior, Jesus Christ, who will transform their mortal bodies to be like His glorious body. This promise reflects the hope she held in Christ and the eternal home she now enjoys with Him.
Naomi is survived by her husband, Clair E. Bump Jr.; her children, Michele, Bradley and Ryan; and her 10 grandchildren, Crystal, Derek, Amie, Angelina, Breanna, Sophia, Lucy, Annalise, Evelyn and Charles. She is survived by two great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Judith, Elizabeth and Rachel.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leslie Richmond; her mother, Ruth Richmond; and other family members.
Naomi would want you to remember the gospel and that death is not the end for those who belong to Christ. Her life was marked by love for her Savior, devotion to her family and a desire to serve others. Her family can take comfort in the promise that those who are in Christ have an eternal home with Him and will one day see her again.
Family will receive friends from 3:30 to 4 p.m. Friday (Oct. 23, 2026) at the Portville Baptist Church, with a funeral service to be held at 4 p.m.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Guenther Funeral Home Inc., 51 S. Main St., Portville.
