LITTLE VALLEY — Larry E. Hatch, 72, of Little Valley, passed away Wednesday (Sept. 30, 2026) at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo.

He was born Nov. 18, 1953, in Salamanca, the son of the late Orvil and Thelma Worth Hatch.

 Mr. Hatch attended Little Valley Central School and began working for the Village of Little Valley at age 16. He dedicated 39 years of service to the Village before retiring in 2008.

He was an original member of the Little Valley Sons of the American Legion, a lifetime Auxiliary member of the Little Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars, and an active member of the Honor Guard. He was also an Exempt member of the Little Valley Volunteer Fire Department and was a past chief.

Larry enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Buffalo Bills and spending time with his friends at the local clubs. In Larry’s younger days he was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, camping and bowling.

He is survived by a sister, Anita (Walt) Fellows of Little Valley; two nieces, Janay Fellows and Josie (Danny) Hubbard; two nephews, Justin (Staci) Fellows and Joseph (Julie) Fellows; and several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Hatch.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, at the Little Valley American Legion.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St. in Little Valley.
