ELDRED, Pa. — Gary Patrick Barber passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday (Sept. 21,2026).

Gary was born April 7, 1966, the son of Ernest “Pat” H. Barber and Marjorie J. Fowler Barber. Gary married Patricia Ann Dugan, October 12,2007.

He graduated from Otto Eldred High School in 1984. Gary served in the U.S. Army.

He worked for and retired from the Pennsylvania State Police as a trooper.

Gary was predeceased by his parents.

In keeping with Gary’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services. He will be buried at Lamphier Cemetery in Eldred, Pa.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Guenther Funeral Home Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean.
