Michael Wayne Dutton, loving son and brother

OLEAN — With a heavy heart, we share the passing of Michael Wayne Dutton, who passed away suddenly in his home on Tuesday (Aug. 18, 2026).

Michael was born Aug. 8, 1968, in Olean, the son of Dianne Morgan Crawford and Harold Dutton.

He was a 1986 graduate of Allegany Central High School.

Michael worked at the Olean Tile Plant, then went on to work for the City of Olean Wastewater Plant.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and loved the time he spent going on walks with his dog, Midnight.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Dianne Crawford of Homosassa, Fla.; siblings, Gail (Bridget) Hamilton of Grand Island, Wayne (Wilma Chestnut) Dutton of Allegany and Colleen (Fred) Pace of Duvall, Wash.; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Michael was predeceased by his father, Harold Dutton.

Family will receive friends from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 26, 2026) at Guenther Funeral Home, 1303 E. State St., Olean, with a funeral service at 3 p.m. followed by burial at Five-Mile Cemetery, Allegany.

Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice.
