Constance A. ‘Connie’ Lemon, devoted wife, loving mother and Nana
OLEAN — Constance A. “Connie” Lemon passed away Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, due to a long-term illness, at the Cuba Skilled Nursing Facility in Cuba, with her husband by her side.
Connie was born Jan. 25, 1951, at the Port Allegany Community Hospital, the daughter of Shirley M. Eck Cox and Herbert D. Cox Sr.
A special thank you to Gwendolyn Chapman Cox (Herbert’s Wife), Connie’s stepmother, who played an important role in Connie’s life.
Connie graduated from Portville High School in 1969. She married Timothy J. Lemon on May 24, 1980, at the Olean Revival Center.
She worked at AVX for close to 10 years until she gave birth to their son, Timothy J. Lemon Jr., in 1983, and she decided to be a stay-at-home mother.
Connie was a member of the Olean Revival Center and enjoyed canvas stitching, playing games like Phase 10, RAGE, Uno and playing on the computer.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy; son, Timothy Jr.(Rian); daughter-in-law, Valeria Ferraro; grandchildren, Nathan, Dominick (Abby), Liam, Kaylin and Brianna; siblings, Donald (Sherry) Cox, Linda (Tom) Eastman, Steven (Virginia) Cox Sr., Roxanne Scull, Deborah (Jeff) Page, Mark (Mary) Cox, Christine (Richard) Sosnowski, Marcene (Tony) Aloi and Kimberly (Rich) Ginter; sister- in- law, Karen Cox; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Connie was predeceased by her parents; stepmother; brother, Herbert D. Cox Jr.; and sister, Diane (Cox) Pringle.
Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Monday (Aug. 24, 2026) at the Olean Revival Center, 146 N. 13th St., Olean, with a funeral service at noon, followed by burial at the Allegany Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Guenther Funeral Home, Inc.,1303 E. State St., Olean.
