Dr. Douglas B. Borromeo

ALLEGANY — Dr. Douglas B. Borromeo, of Allegany, entered into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday (Aug. 12, 2026).

Dr. Borromeo was born in the Philippines and lived in the United States most of his adult life.

For over 40 years he worked as an anesthesiologist, first in Watertown and later Olean, prior to his retirement in 2015.

He relaxed by fishing, and by playing many rounds of golf over the years.

He is survived by his wife, Cecilia; three sons; a daughter-in-law; two grandchildren; one sister; and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by three brothers.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 22, 2026) at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels in Olean. A funeral mass will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the church, with Rev. David Tourville, pastor, as the celebrant.
