Margaret E. Puszcz

LITTLE VALLEY — Margaret E. Puszcz , 76, of Little Valley, passed away Friday (Aug. 7, 2026) at Buffalo General Hospital.

She was born June 14, 1950, in Salamanca, the daughter of the late Leslie and Emily Bowen Eddy. On Nov. 6, 1971, she married James Puszcz, who predeceased her in 2014.

Mrs. Puszcz worked at Cattaraugus Co.Planning Board and Dept. of Economic Development for over 39 years. She started as a stenographer in the Civil Service Office in 1971 and in 1989 she was promoted stenographic secretary and she retired in 2013.

She was also very active in her community; she was a member of the Town of Mansfield Planning Board, secretary of the Maples Cemetery Board, trustee at the Bridge of Hope Church in Little Valley and member of the Town of Mansfield and Town of Great Valley Senior Citizens.

She was a member of the Professional Secretaries International Enchanted Mountains Chapter where she was named secretary of the years in 1987.

Margaret will be remember by her faith. She was a member and treasurer of the Eddyville Community Church and recently was a member and trustee of the Bridge of Hope Church in Little Valley.

Margaret was raised on Sunset View Dairy Farm in the Town of Mansfield where she currently lives and owns. She and her husband were partners in Push’s Cider Mill in Great Valley for many years.

She is survived by a daughter, Anne (James) Conner of Little Valley; two grandchildren, Haylee and Lucus Adams; and eight step-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today (Aug. 11, 2026) at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St. in Little Valley. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 12, 2026) from the funeral home. Burials will be in Maples Cemetery.
