Thomas R. Latten
Thomas R. Latten, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather
PORTVILLE — Thomas R. Latten passed away unexpectedly Wednesday (July 22, 2026).
Thomas was born in Olean on April 17, 1962. He was the son of Dale R. and Maxine Chesebro Latten. On April 17, 1988, Thomas married Tracey Stickel in Portville, who predeceased him Jan. 8, 2026.
He was a 1980 graduate of Portville Central School.
He was employed by Ram Forest and many auto part stores in the community. He was also a life member of the Portville Fire Department and was serving as chairman of the Fire Commissioners.
Thomas is survived by his mother, Maxine; stepdad, Bill Dunning; his children, Heather (Todd) Keesler, Thomas “TJ” (Kristen Jedrosko) Latten Jr., Megan (Tony) Tidd and Kelly (Rob) Lee; his grandchildren, Ashley (Chris), Mackenzie (Jackson), Kaylynn, Trystyn, Cole, Carley, Nikoal, Aiden, Cameron, Michael, Carter, Peyton, Trinity, Anthony, Arianna, Robert, Dallas, Elizabeth, Ramsie and Raelynn; his great-grandchildren, Bella, Elliott and Jensen; his siblings, Jeff (Val) Latten of Portville, Denny (Kim) Latten of Cuba and David Latten of Portville; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his close friends, Bill and Paula Brooks, Steve and Janet Bell, Jerry and Rhonda Lewis and Gary and Artie Skroback.
Thomas was predeceased by his loving wife, Tracey; his dad, Dale Latten in September 2017; and infant twin sons, July 1988.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday (July 28, 2026) at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean, due to water line construction at the Portville location. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (July 29, 2026) at Guenther’s in Olean, with burial to follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Portville Fire Department.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Guenther Funeral Home,1303 E. State St., Olean.
