CATTARAUGUS — Edward L. Evans, 65, of Cattaraugus, passed away Monday (July 20, 2026) at ECMC in Buffalo.

He was born Aug. 30, 1960, in Gowanda, the son of the late Charles Evans and Patricia Carnes Evans, who survives and resides in Otto.

Mr. Evans was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He also had worked at Highland Plastics in Salamanca.

Besides his mother he is survived by a brothers, Neal (Peggy) Evans of Great Valley; a sister, Toni Thompson of Otto; and several nieces, nephews and great-nephews.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday (July 25, 2026) at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc. 411 Rock City St., in Little Valley. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday from the funeral home.
