Terrance N. ‘Beef’ Tambash

OLEAN — Terrance N. “Beef” Tambash, 84, passed away after a short illness on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Buffalo General Hospital.

Born Sept. 17, 1941, in Bradford, Pa., he was the son of Neal and Irene Mosch Tambash.

Beef went to St. Bernard’s Catholic School in Bradford. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1958 and served until 1961. He was awarded the National Defense Medal and the Korea Defense Service Medal during his service.

In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to OTB and the casino, and eating spaghetti. He was a life member of the Olean VFW, the Olean American Legion and St. John’s Church. Beef gave the gift of donation after his passing.

He is survived by the love of his life, Diana Calhoun of Olean; a brother, Neal Joe Tambash of Lewis Run, Pa.; three stepsisters, Jackie Payea, Gail Patterson and Debbie Royer, all formerly from Bradford; and his nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, James Tambash; and a stepsister, Margo Falconi.

At Beef’s request, no services are being scheduled. Burial will be in Bushnell National Cemetery in Florida at a later date.
