Phillip C. Linn, loving husband, father and grandfather

LIMESTONE — Phillip C. Linn, of Chipmonk Road, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Phillip was born Feb. 20, 1946, in Olean, and was the son of Carol Victor and Nellie LaMont Linn. On Oct. 24, 1966, in Olean, he married Sherry Lee Green, who survives.

Phillip was a 1964 graduate of Portville Central School. He continued his education for a year at RIT as a mechanical engineer before working as a draftsman at Dresser and then went to work for his father on the family farm.

Phillip was the owner and operator of the Mayflower Bar & Restaurant for about five years and also worked as an autobody repairman out of his own garage. Phillip was employed by Zippo and then Universal Wells in dispatch until his retirement in 2011.

Phillip loved hunting and watching western shows and movies.

Beside his loving wife Sherry, Phillip is survived by his children, Lori Ann Linn of Cuba, Phillip C. (Kimberly) Linn of Portville, Kimberly E. Linn of Cuba and Candace L. Linn of Cuba; and nine grandchildren, Justin Linn, Ashley (Garrett) Childs, John Linn, Kaitlyn Wilcox, Taylor Neely, Seth Mahon, Hunter Thompson, Christian Linn and Kaden Spring. Phillip also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren, Jackson, Lincoln, Kennedy, Grace, Briar, Halston, twins Cyrus and Ivy, and Laken; a brother, Donald Linn of Portville; a sister, Carole Linn of Bolivar; and several nieces and nephews.

Phillip was predeceased by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a date and time to be announced.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.
