Nicholas G. Meyer, loving companion, father and brother

OLEAN — Nicholas G. Meyer, of Olean, passed away Saturday (July 4, 2026) at ECMC.

Nick was born April 18, 1981, in Bradford, Pa., and was the son of David J. and Debra K. Swanson Meyer.

Nick was a graduate of Olean High School.  He then continued his education at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where he received his degree in graphic design.

Nick worked various jobs including a server, bartender and a manager for several local restaurants including Grand Slam, Brothers Bistro, The Wing, Angee’s, Parkwood, Granny’s and Sean Patrick’s. He also worked at Cuba Rushford School as a food service director for a period of time up until a year ago.

Nick was a very family-oriented man who loved his family and enjoyed being with them. He also loved sports, especially football and UFC. Nick was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan, Buffalo Bills Fan and New York Yankees Fan.

In addition to his loving companion of over 22 years, Shannon L. Havens, Nick is survived by five children, David R. Whitehorn, Tanner L. Meyer, Tyler Meyer, Calista Henderson and Aiden N. Meyer; two grandsons, Odin and Octavian; his parents; five siblings, Dana Neely, Chad (Jen) Neely, Cody Meyer, Kyle (Jami) Meyer and Luke (Liz) Meyer; 13 nieces and nephews, Caleb, Jaryd, Sierra, Skyler, Alec, Alenzi, Aaron, Harper, Adley, Kye, Layna, Easton and Kinsey; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a very close friend, Chris “Salty” Pitcher.

Nick was predeceased by his grandparents.

Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday (July 10, 2026) at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean, at which time a funeral service will be held. The Rev. Rebecca Siafakas will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
