Dana L. Burgett

AUSTIN, Pa. — Dana L. Burgett, 84, of Austin, passed away Wednesday (June 24, 2026) in his home, surrounded by family.

He was born Nov. 11, 1941, in Wellsville, N.Y., to Francis and Beatrice L. Eddy Burgett. On July 9, 1961, he married Alice Lepold, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.

Dana worked at the Pierce Glass Plant, was a member of the Austin VFW and the Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Club, and enjoyed motorcycle riding with his wife, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his children, Randy Burgett, Teri Lee (Ralph) Gleason, Jody Ullman and Butch (Colleen) DeBoer; grandchildren, Joseph (Crystal) Burgett, Nathan (Shaina) Burgett, Tara (Tim) Cheplic, Jarred (Lashella) Gleason and Willy (Eryn) DeBoer; great-grandchildren, Blake (Mackenzie) Burgett, Dalton Burgett, Xavier (Kylie) Stiles, Kierstyn Stuckey, Gracelynn Cheplic, Izaiah Cheplic, Caroline Gleason, Cerissa (Luke) Glover, Haidyn Burgett, Cooper Burgett and Skylar DeBoer; brothers, Francis (Cheryl) Burgett, Robert (Bridgett) Burgett and Rodger (Vanessa) Burgett; and several great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; three sisters, Anita Henderson, Judy Hooftallen and Genny Burgett Gribble; a grandson, Jason R. Glover; and a son, Billy Burgett.

In accordance with his wishes he will be buried at Forest Hill Cemetery, and the Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home 210 N. East St. Coudersport, has been entrusted with his arrangements.
