SALAMANCA — Nan L. Bargy, 53, of Salamanca, died early Monday afternoon (June 22, 2026) at the Salamanca Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, following a long illness.
Born Nov. 4, 1972, in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Naomi Gross Bargy.
She was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1991.
Nan had been employed in housekeeping with Allegany State Park for over 11 years and had also worked at the Salamanca Rail Museum. She had also been employed as a bartender at the former Hotel Dudley in Salamanca.
She enjoyed cats and will be remembered for being a “foodie.” She was an avid Buffalo Bills Fan.
Surviving are a brother, William (Laura) Bargy of Frewsburg; two nephews, Noah Bargy of Frewsburg and Trá (Morgan Kennedy) Bargy of Little Valley; one special aunt, Joan Gross of Salamanca; a special cousin, Cathy (Ross) Stoltz of Little Valley; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m Monday (June 29, 2026) at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, at which time funeral services will be held, with Tim Ledsome officiating. Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca.
