OLEAN — Mary E. Vesotski, formerly of First Avenue in Olean, passed away peacefully Saturday (June 20, 2026) at The Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Olean, at the age of 88.
Born Dec. 23, 1937, in Olean, she was the daughter of Raymond J. and Mary Frances McKenna Davis. On Nov. 2, 1973, in Olean, she married Robert Vesotski, who predeceased her Oct. 27, 1995.
Mary attended Olean schools and worked 19 years for the former St. Joseph’s Manor in Olean. While residing in Salamanca she worked 19 years for the former Dudley Motor Inn in Salamanca prior to her retirement in 1996.
For many years she was a member of St. John’s Church in Olean.
She leaves behind two brothers, Francis Wojick of Concord, Calif. and Michael Davis of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; one sister, Marcie (Jeff) Wallen of Allegany; a brother-in-law, Joe Batesky of Allegany; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her stepmother, Cecelia V. Davis; two brothers, Gerald Davis and her twin brother, Joseph Davis; and three sisters, Patricia Berical, Roxanne Burgess and Maureen “Reenie” Batesky.
Friends are invited to attend a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Thursday (July 2, 2026) at St. John’s Church in Olean. Rev. David Tourville, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca.

The family would like to thankfully acknowledge all her First Avenue neighborhood friends who visited her daily, and to the caring staff at The Pines of Olean whose comfort and care extended even to her family.
