John T. ‘Jack’ Yardman
BATAVIA — John T. “Jack” Yardman, 86, of Batavia, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026.
He was born Nov. 22, 1939, in Olean, to John N. Yardman and Evelyn M. Becker.
Jack was a proud member of Bricklayers Local 3, International Bricklayers, and spent many years working for Thomas Johnson, Inc.
He was an avid golfer — often saying he took up the game too late in life. He enjoyed watching Syracuse basketball, cherished the companionship of his beloved dog, Abby, and treasured time spent with his family, especially his son-in-law, Mark and granddaughter, Madison.
He is survived by his children, Lori Yardman of Portville, Tammy (Mark) Dedman of Batavia and Scott Pasnik of Medina; and daughter-in-law, Ruth Yardman of Olean. He is also survived by his sisters, Janet Faulkner of Portville, Beverly Haskins of Mt. Morris, Barbara (Robert) Boldt-Phair of Arcade, Mary Ann Drake of Shinglehouse, Pa. and Micki Van Houten of Irvine, Calif.; grandchildren, Madison (Matt) Dedman-Grover of Bossier City, La., David Yardman of Olean, Brianna Pasnik of Medina and Ryan Pasnik of Medina; along with great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents, John and Evelyn; his son, Ronald Yardman; his brother, Leonard Yardman; and brothers-in-law, Dan Boldt, Bob Haskins and Glenn Drake.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Jack will be laid to rest in Saint Bonaventure Cemetery in Olean.
