WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — It is with a broken heart that our family announces the passing of our daughter, Shaylea Rose Anderson Clary, on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, after a long illness. She lived in Williamsburg with her husband, Antonio Clary and her son, Kitai.

Shaylea was a very strong person who lived each day to the best of her ability. She adored her son Kitai and was a very loving and caring mother. Shaylea’s greatest accomplishment was raising her little boy throughout her illness. She was very diligent in taking care of him throughout many medical treatments during the last five years.

Shaylea was always concerned about others. She dearly loved many of her family and friends from the Olean, N.Y. area. Her strength was steady until the end of her young life. She recently came home for Christmas to visit during this special holiday!

It is our honor to create the Shaylea Anderson Clary Memorial Fund, where donations can be made to the Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation, 301 North Union St., Suite 203, Olean NY 14760, or online at cattfoundation.org. The fund will provide annual grants to Operation Warm Hearts and Foster Cattaraugus.

We loved her deeply and know she would be very happy to be remembered in this way.

Shaylea had great faith in God. She was a member of James City Community Church and attended regularly. Her family finds comfort knowing she is now in peace in Heaven.

She is survived by her mother, Anne; her father, Dale; her husband, Antonio Clary; and their son, Kitai; her sisters, Jennifer Petrillo and Susan (Nick) Anderson; her brothers, Jess Anderson and Joshua (Annie) Anderson; her mother-in-law, Linda Walker; father-in-law, Alan Walker; and her sister-in-law, Lavonda (Elton) Clary Thomas. She had many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews that loved her.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2026, at First Baptist Church, 133 S. Union St., Olean, with a reception following at Mickey’s Restaurant at 629 E. State St., Olean.

The joy of the Lord is my strength. (Nehemiah 8:10)
