John David Ramage, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather
LIMESTONE — John David Ramage, of Limestone, passed away unexpectedly Thursday (June 11, 2026).
John was born in Olean on March 16, 1948, the son of Raymond K and Twila L. McCrae Ramage. On April 25, 1968, he married the love of his life, Janet M. Lee of Phoenix, Ariz., who survives.
John graduated from Limestone Union Free High School in 1966, and continued his education graduated from Glendale Community College in 1971, and later graduated from General Motors Service Management College in 1985.
John also served in the U.S. Air Force from 1967 to 1971.
John was a general manager employed by Tyrell Marxen Chevrolet in Flagstaff, Ariz., retiring from there in 2011.
He enjoyed cars as a hobby and was a member of the Limestone American Legion and the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department.
Besides his wife, Janet, John is survived by two daughters, Lisa M. Bonner and Cheri L. (Ted) French; grandchildren, Courtney (Tucker) Jameson, Amberlie French, Stetson Bonner and Jaren French; one great-grandchild; and siblings, Sue Scott and Harold Ramage.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Twila Dodge and Karen Berg; and brothers, Raymond Ramage Jr. and Wayne Ramage.
As per John’s request, there will be no services.
Donations may be made in John’s name to the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Guenther Funeral Home, 1303 E. State St., Olean.
