Amy Irene White, loving companion, daughter and sister

OLEAN — Amy I. White, 43, of Olean, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026, in Buffalo.

Born April 5, 1983, in Buffalo, but native to Franklinville, Amy spent her life surrounded by the community and people she loved.

Amy was known for her fun-loving and caring nature. Despite facing many challenges throughout her life, she remained a fighter who greeted the world with a smile and an unwavering determination to make the best of every situation. Her resilience and warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Amy is survived by her devoted life partner, Melvin Finley; her father, David D. White; her sister, Linda (Richard) Blackman; and her beloved nieces, Destinee and Sarah Blackman, all of Longwood, Fla., and Savina Correll-Finley of California.

Amy was predeceased by her mother, Regina “Dolly” White.

Amy will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.

Friends will be received from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean, at which time a memorial service will be held. Rev. Mark Chapman, pastor of the Allegany Baptist Church, will officiate.
