Jamie A. Young

OLEAN — Jamie A. Young, of East State Street, passed away Friday (May 29, 2026) at his home.

Jamie was born July 21, 1963, in Buffalo, and was the son of Gary Kenneth and Patricia Ann Peterson Young.

Jamie was a 1980 graduate of Olean High School.

He was a truck driver for a short time. Jamie then moved to Las Vegas, Nev., where he did maintenance and home remodeling. He moved back to Olean in 2007, where he continued doing maintenance and worked at Big Lots.

Jamie was an avid Raiders and Rams Fan, and an avid reader he loved Stephen King books. He was also a Metallica Fan.

Along with his loving wife, Shelley M. Friskey, Jamie is survived by two daughters, Tegan L. (David) Reichuber of Lakewood, Colo. and Taylor G. (Calvin) Mickelson of Loveland, Colo.; two grandsons, Theodore and Aiden Reichuber; his mother, Patricia A. Young of Olean; a sister, Suzanne Young Swatt of Olean; and her niece, Sydnee Swatt of Olean

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.
