WISCOY — Ian Kyle Ellwood, a beloved son, brother and friend, passed away Tuesday (May 26, 2026) in Wiscoy.

He was born May 11, 2006, in Wellsville, a son of Dustin K. Ellwood and Georgia Goodell.

Ian was a graduate of Fillmore Central School’s Class of 2024.

An avid fisherman, he found immeasurable joy in fishing for trout in the clear waters of Wiscoy Creek, where many peaceful hours were spent in quiet reflection. He also enjoyed hunting and was a sports enthusiast, often cheering fervently for his favorite teams — the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys — and particularly loved watching UFC matches.

He is survived by his father, Dustin K. Ellwood; and mother, Georgia Goodell; Ian’s paternal grandmother, Deborah K. Ellwood; and his brothers and sisters, Shiloh K. Ellwood of Olean, McKayla K. Ellwood of Silver Springs, Kaylum Goodell and Aleshia Goodell both of Franklinville, Drake Ellwood of Wellsville, Frejya Ellwood of Olean and Isabella Ellwood of Wellsville. Ian’s extended family includes his uncles, Dale K. Ellwood of Wiscoy and Dana K. Ellwood of Silver Springs; special cousins, Kaylee, Katelyn, Chase, Domenic and Jordyn; as well as close friends, Caleb and Cameron Green.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Dwight K. Ellwood; and a special friend, Todd Smith.

A committal service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday (June 1, 2026) at Wiscoy Cemetery.

Memorials if desired may be made to mental health organization of the donor’s choice or the Wiscoy-Rossburg Fire Department.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee St., Fillmore.
