Dorothy M. Hall

ALLEGANY — Dorothy M. Hall, 92, of Allegany, passed away at her home on Tuesday (May 12, 2026).

Born Oct. 18, 1934, in Bradford, Pa., she was one of three daughters born to Lawrence R. and Anne Gault McGraw. On Feb. 12, 1955, at St. Bonaventure Church in Allegany, she married David E. Hall, who predeceased her Oct. 5, 2023.

Dorothy was a graduate of Olean High School.

She worked first for Key Bank and later for the Social Security office, both in Olean.

She most enjoyed raising her family and traveling to visit grandchildren and also took pleasure in bird watching and gardening.

She leaves behind her two sons, Lawrence Hall of Darlington, Md. and David (Nancy) Hall of Westminster, Colo.; four grandchildren, Jessica (Will) Jones of Strasburg, Colo., James Hall of Westminster, Ashley Hall of Darlington and Christian Hall of West LaFayette, Ohio; one great-granddaughter, Faye Olivia Jones of Strasburg, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Patricia McGraw Mealey and Shirley McGraw Nenno.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery next to her husband David.
