Cathy J. Negrin

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — Cathy J. Negrin, 75, of New Port Richey, peacefully passed away Monday, May 4, 2026, at North Bay Hospital, after a brief illness.

Born March 21, 1951, in Salamanca, N.Y., she was the cherished daughter of the late John and Geraldine Whitcomb Nosal. Cathy was married to Irving Negrin of New Port Richey, who predeceased her.

A proud graduate of Salamanca High School’s Class of 1969, Cathy embarked on a remarkable 30-year career as general manager at Holiday Apartments in Holiday. Her leadership, warmth, and attention to detail left an indelible mark on both colleagues and residents alike.

Cathy’s vibrant spirit shone through in everything she did. She was a devoted Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan. She was an enthusiastic crafter, an avid bowler and a graceful dancer, always finding joy in music. Above all, Cathy had a gift for transforming her home into a winter wonderland of festive décor, inside and out, for every holiday, bringing delight and wonder to neighbors and friends.

She is lovingly remembered by her brother, James (Gina) Nosal of Orchard Park, N.Y.; and by several nieces and nephews who adored her playful wit and generous heart.

Cathy was preceded in death by her brother, John Nosal; and her sister, Mary Bierfeldt.

In keeping with her quiet, unassuming nature, there will be no public visitation. A graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery at the family’s convenience, with details to be shared in due course.
