CUBA — Allison Lee Goodliff, 75, of Cuba, passed away Saturday (May 9, 2026) at Buffalo General Hospital, after a short illness.
Born June 6, 1950, in Cuba, he was a son of Joseph and Mildred Burdick Goodliff. On June 20, 1970, at the Friendship Baptist Church, he married the former Marilyn D. Mulkin, who survives.
Al was a 1968 graduate of Richburg Central School. Two years later he graduated from Olean Business Institute with a degree in accounting.
Al dedicated his professional life to the automotive parts industry, a journey that began right out of college as a stockboy at Tier Parts Warehouse. Through hard work, he rose to the position of sales representative for GPI (Car Quest) and later served several area parts stores before retiring from J&R Auto in Olean.
Al took great pride in his home, maintaining a perfectly manicured lawn that reflected his attention to detail. He spent over six decades at the bowling alley, enjoyed the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle, and spent countless hours restoring his 1982 GMC pickup or visiting car shows.
While he had many hobbies, his greatest source of pride was his family; he was his children’s and grandchildren’s biggest fan, celebrating their every milestone with love.
He was a member and trustee of the Cuba Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two sons, Scott (Kandyce) Goodliff of Yorktown, Va. and Michael Goodliff of Waynesboro, Va.; two grandchildren, Sarah and Logan Goodliff; a brother, David Goodliff of Allegany; a sister, Alexia “Lexie” (Tony) Giovanetti of Gilbertsville, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday (May 14, 2026) at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull St., Cuba. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday (May 15, 2026) in the funeral home. The Rev. Rebecca Worth will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Friendship.
