Alexzander R. Weakfall Sr., loving father, son, nephew and cousin

BUFFALO — Alexzander R. Weakfall Sr. passed away unexpectedly Thursday (May 7, 2026) at home.

Alex was born in Olean on July 2, 1969, the son of Willie Weakfall and Carmen E. Wright Drayton.

He attended Portville Central School and later earned his GED. Alex worked in construction and also for the Buffalo Environmental Expo.

He liked playing chess, painting and building things.

Alex is survived by his daughter, Alesaundra Allen (Alley); his son, Alexzander R. Weakfall Jr.; three grandchildren, Gabriel Allen Wright, Lukas Allen Wright and LayLah Allen Wright; his sisters, Gwenlynn Weakfall and Carisa Weakfall Miles; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and his ex-wife, Renee Weakfall Brown.

He was predeceased by his parents, Willie and Carmen; his grandmother, Elain Wright; a brother, Malcolm Drayton; and a nephew, Michael Wright.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday (May 13, 2026) at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean, with the funeral to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
