SUN LAKES, Ariz. — James E. Fluent, 78, of Sun Lakes, passed away peacefully Friday (May 1, 2026).
James was born April 21, 1948, in Salamanca, the son of the late Edward Fluent and Gertrude Brahaney Fluent. On March 8, 1985, he married Dawn O. Wolfe-Kindle, who survives.
Jim was a man who brought joy to those around him. He loved to sing, entertain and share stories that could make anyone smile. He found happiness in cooking, listening to country music and creating special moments with family and friends.
Above all, Jim cherished the Christmas season — his enthusiasm for decorating and celebrating made it a magical time for everyone who knew him.
In addition to his devoted wife of 40 years, he is survived by his daughter, Angela (Kenneth) Tomczak of Mansfield, N.Y.; two granddaughters, Kelsea Tomczak of Mansfield and Olivia (Charles) Zambito of Elba, N.Y.; and three great-grandchildren, Charles, Jack and Francis, who brought him great pride and joy. He is also survived by four brothers, Timothy (Beverly) Fluent of Richmond Hill, Ga., Daniel (Sally) Fluent of Franklinville, N.Y., Kevin Fluent of Brocton and Richard (Bonnie) Fluent of Salamanca, N.Y.; one sister, Cynthia (Robert) Tucker of Fayetteville, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews, all of whom he held dear.
In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his sister, Diane Schwartz; and brother-in-law, David Schwartz.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and the happiness he brought into their lives.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
