Jeffery C. “Bones” Reed, loving husband, father and grandfather

OLEAN — Jeffery Reed, of South Sixth Street, passed away Thursday (April 30, 2026) at his home.

Jeff was born Oct. 8, 1962, in Olean, and was the son of Carl Anthony Minitti and Ethel Lorraine Shaw Reed. On May 21, 1988, in Olean, he married Tami Sue Hassett, who survives.

Jeff Served in the U.S. Army. He worked at the Olean Tile Plant for a number of years until he started working as a carpenter on extensive home remodeling. Additionally, he spent many years coaching and raising money for Olean Youth Sports.

Jeff enjoyed fishing, St. Bonaventure Basketball, New York Yankees and he was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. In his free time he enjoyed taking his grandchildren to the park and walking Blu.

Along with his loving wife Tami, Jeff is survived by three children, Joseph Lee (Madelyn) Reed of Buffalo, Samantha Raye Reed and Alex M.H. Reed, both of Olean; three grandchildren, Brianna, Kemper and Noella; four siblings, Kathy Duino of Olean, Karen (Paul) Delong of Allegany, Anita Schnell and Helen Kay Reed, both of Olean; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Blu.

Jeff was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Mary Panada; and two beloved dogs, Isabella and Daphne

Friends will be received from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday (May 6, 2026) at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean, at which time a funeral service will be held. The Rev. Rick Price will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
