CANEADEA — C. Scott Elliott, formerly of Caneadea, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday (May 1, 2026) at the age of 72.
He was born Nov. 6, 1953, in Yorkshire, a son of the late Edwin and Magdalen Muschara Elliott.
Scott proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Vietnam veteran from 1971 through 1975. He later became the owner and operator of Coffee Plus Café in Oramel.
He was also a devoted member of the Caneadea United Methodist Church.
Scott had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in traveling, fishing, yard work and taking on projects around the house.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Christene (Limburg) Elliott, whom he married Dec. 23, 2011; his children, Kassandrae (John) Walker of Batavia, Douglas (Danielle) Elliott of Glenwood, Jason Conrad of Attica and Jessica Welker of Attica; his brother, Edwin (late So-hak) Elliott Jr.; his sister, Suzanne Christ of Yorkshire; his 10 grandchildren, Isaiah, Elly, Leah, Amanda, Joshua, Erika, Evan, Amelia, Savanna and Charlotte; his great-granddaughter, Hazel; along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Scott was predeceased by his daughter, Carrie Snyder; his brother, Robert Elliott; and his sister, Memara Stasio.
A memorial visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday (May 8, 2026) at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Caneadea United Methodist Church, 8932 Route 19, Caneadea, with Rev. Wilbur Pollock officiating. Final interment with military honors will be held at the Western New York National Cemetery in Corfu at a later date.
