Stacey Ann Redeye, May 7, 1966—Jan. 19, 2026

EAST OTTO — Stacey Ann Depew Redeye, of East Otto, passed away unexpectedly in Nevada City, Calif., on Monday, Jan. 19 2026.

She was the daughter of the late William H. Depew and Jacquelyn C. Depew. She was a young 59 years old and was born on May 7, 1966. She was born and raised in Fredonia.

She got her GED and after that she went on to Jamestown Community College, where she got her associate’s degree in occupational therapy assistant.

Her passion was to help people with whatever they needed. She was the most loving, caring, kind hearted person. She loved everything she had and her heart was made of gold. She could make friends anywhere she went. That smile of hers would light up a room. She loved people and people loved her.

She was very involved in the AA program in Salamanca. Her sobriety was very important to her. She was so proud of it, as we were proud of her. She looked forward to her morning zoom meetings with her people from the AA program which reached all over the United States.

She loved being outside. She loved horses. When she was growing up she had one; his name was Major. She also loved nature, traveling, hiking, skiing and planting flowers and she loved sharing her time with others.

Her faith was very important to her as well. She was a member of Salamanca Free Methodist Church. Where she met two very dear friends of hers, Pastor Rich and his wife Nancy.

She had a lifelong partner; his name is Kevin Redeye. He loved her so very much. They spent so much time together. He loved her so very much.

She had a very special relationship with Lillian Redeye and all of her friends. They loved spending time with her. They all called her “Nani Stacey.” She would take them camping and they would rent a golf cart and go all over the campground. Also, she would pack them in her little apartment to have sleepovers and make cookies with them.

She also had four sisters that miss her so much and loved her. They are Sherri Ruge, Wendy Depew, Penney (Fred) Stern and Lori (Ken) Lindquist.

She also had several nieces and nephews that loved her. They are Ashley, Tiffany, Chelsea (John) Collin (Theresa), Kyle (Emily), Nicholas (Alycia), Dakota and Skyler (Dana). They all have such loving memories with her they will cherish forever.

She also had many great-nieces and great-nephews, Tyler, Elisa, Onnaleysia, Tristan Jr., Julian, Isabella, Hunter, Kolten, Leigh, Tabias and Clayton.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend funeral services from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, 736 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Prayer services will begin at noon. Interment will be held in private.
