Marie Willer

CUBA — Marie Willer, of 4719 Route 305, passed away Friday (March 27, 2026) following a short illness.

Born, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Velma Moses.

Mrs. Willer was a graduate of Cuba Central School. She graduated from the University of Buffalo, with a degree in secretarial and office methods, and a degree in elementary education. She received her MA in elementary education from West Virginia University.

She was an elementary school teacher. Eight of these years were spent teaching Marine Corps officer’s children in the Camp LeJeune Dependents’ School System at Camp LeJeune, N.C. during the Vietnam War. While there, she was responsible for establishing the learning disabilities program in the school for marine officer dependents. She was especially proud of her work at Camp LeJeune and enjoyed her friendships through the years with the people she had worked with there. Honoring the military and their families was always something that remained close to her heart.

Marie was a member of the United Methodist Church of Cuba, The Bellville Cemetery Association and Kappa Delta Phi, National Honorary Education Fraternity.

She enjoyed her grandchildren and preferred spending time attending their activities or traveling with them. Lastly, she enjoyed her homes in Cuba and Bellville.

Surviving are a daughter, Lindsay (Terry Burt) Miller of Cuba; three grandchildren, Whitney Miller, Ian Miller and Cameron Shaw; a brother, Douglas (Glena) Moses of Recreation Village, N.J.; five nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Audrey Moses of Portland, Ore.

She was predeceased by her parents; as well as a son, Steven Seen; and a brother, Dr. Robb Moses

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public visitation. A private memorial service for family members will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Bellville Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
