Rebecca Ann “Becky” Cleveland, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister

OLEAN — Rebecca Ann “Becky” Cleveland passed away, after a long illness, on Monday (March 16, 2026) at Cuba Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 30, 1947, in Cuba, to the late Harold and Mary Williams.

Becky graduated from Franklinville High School. On May 3, 1969, she married the love of her life, Jack E. Cleveland in Salamanca, who predeceased her on October 14, 2014.

For over 20 years, she was employed at Acme Electric in Cuba as a sheet metal worker.

Becky was a member of the Eagles Club, the Elks Club, St. Stephens Club and enjoyed attending bingo at Ischua Fire Hall on Monday evenings for many years where she became a “special friend” of all who played bingo with her and enjoyed her laughter.

Surviving are three daughters, Kecia Swarthout of Wellsville, Julie Sutley of Elba and Lisa (Kevin) Miles of Olean; five grandchildren, Jacob, Jessica, Jenna, Jayde and Mariah; three step-grandchildren, Kevin Jr., Amanda and Alyssa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jack; and sisters, Linda Hale and Betty Sweet.

A celebration of Becky’s life will be held at a later date to be announced.

As per her wishes, Becky has donated her body to the University of Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program.

Memorials, if desired, may be made in Becky’s name to the Cattaraugus County SPCA, Ischua Fire Hall and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
