Vicky L. Oakes Watt

GREAT VALLEY — Vicky L. Oakes Watt was received and taken home by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday (March 15, 2026) at 5:05 a.m., after a long courageous battle with COPD.

Vicky was born Sept. 25, 1963, in Olean. Vicky was the youngest of six siblings and was always referred to as the “baby sister.” Vicky was the youngest daughter of the late Bernice and Douglas Decker of Franklinville. Vicky married Harold “Butch” Watt on Sept. 12, 1998. They made their home in Great Valley. Together they shared 27 wonderful years together, and had many fur babies to include their beloved Sheba and Bandit.

Vicky loved her flower gardens and enjoyed tending to them, and planting more. She looked forward to each spring when they bloomed.

In her younger years she was always seen with a car load of children. She would load up her Scamp with her nephews and nieces and take them to Darien Lake for the day. She absolutely loved her nieces and nephews. Vicky always remembered everyone’s special days, her Facebook page is flooded with birthday, anniversary, holiday greetings and thank yous for her loved ones. Family was everything to her.

Some cherished memories are the many years Vicky and Butch would open their home as a gathering place for us all to come and enjoy the holidays together, and eat delicious foods. Vicky and Butch would go above and beyond to make the day special for everyone. Vicky made delicious chocolates, jelly topped cookies, sugar cookies and a cherry topped chocolate cake that everyone loved, just like her mom made them. She was so much like her mother. Generous, loving, yet she could be firm too and you knew it if you crossed the line. Everything she did, was done with love.

Vicky’s beloved husband Butch, was the love of her life. She was a wonderful wife, sister, sister-in-law. aunt, cousin and friend.

She leaves behind her siblings, Viola (LaVerne) Krotz of Little Valley, Douglas (Deb Piccirillo ) Oakes of Franklinville, Debbie Oakes Storey of Franklinville and Cheryl Oakes Kobielski of Warren, Pa.

She was predeceased by her brother, Bradley Oakes in 1979.

Vicky will be missed dearly, and forever…

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Babbitt & Easton Funeral Home, 7 N. Main St., Franklinville.
