Joan Budzinski

KILL BUCK — Joan Budzinski, 93, of Kill Buck, NY, passed away March 9, 2026. She was surrounded by her family in Warsaw, NY.

She was born in Somerset, NY. Joan was the daughter of the late Stanley Israel and Onalee Pask Israel. She was married in Salamanca to the late Robert Budzinski.

Joan was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1950.

She retired from the former Fleet Bank in Salamanca after 35 years of service.

Joan loved spending time with her family, traveling with the Senior Group Tours and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. She will be remembered for the hundreds of knitted Christmas stockings for extended family and many across the community.

Joan was a member of the Riverside Chapel, Salamanca Senior Center, and the Great Valley Seniors. She was the Treasurer of the Chapel and the Salamanca High School Alumni Association. She also volunteered for Interfaith Caregivers and the Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging, delivering Meals on Wheels for 22 years.

Surviving are: son, Randy (Kelly) Budzinski, Durham, NC; daughter, Brenda (Paul) Schell, Warsaw, NY; three grandsons, Jacob Budzinski, San Francisco, CA, Kyle Budzinski, Durham, NC, Bailey Schell, Warsaw, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

Joan was predeceased by her brother, Edward Burdette Israel.

There will be no visitation.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Riverside Chapel, 134 Broad St, Salamanca, NY on Saturday March 21, 2026 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Benjamin Good officiating. Randy and Brenda and their families will receive friends prior to the service in the Sanctuary starting at 10:30 a.m.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to the Salamanca Senior Center, 20 Main Street, Salamanca, NY 14779 or the Salamanca Public Library, 155 Wildwood Avenue, Salamanca, NY 14779.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
