Mary Francis McGuire

OLEAN — Mary Francis McGuire, 64, of Olean, passed away Thursday (March 5, 2026) at Olean General Hospital.

Born Oct. 11, 1961, in Bethpage, she was one of seven children born to Joseph Patrick and Margaret King McGuire.

Mary graduated from high school in Hicksville, and after moving to the Olean area was employed by the ReHabilitation Center and Wal Mart.

She enjoyed living quietly and spent time reading books, especially novels written by a favorite author, Diana Palmer. She also enjoyed her daily cups of tea and supporting the New York Rangers and Mets.

She leaves behind three children, Robert Kissinger III, Thomas (Megan Carofano) Kissinger and Alexa (fiancé Cody Wight) Kissinger, all of Olean; four sisters, Donna Smith, Margaret McGuire, Barbara McGuire and Veronica McGuire; a brother-in-law, John Nappi, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by one brother, Joseph McGuire; and one sister, Kathy Nappi.

No formal services will be held. The family will celebrate her life at a future date.
