Susan Irene Foster

Susan Irene Foster, 78, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, at Ascension All Saints Hospital of Racine, Wis.

She was born in Rushford on April 30, 1947, to the late Donald and Virginia Perry Buchanan.

Susan attended local Hinsdale and Olean schools and was a 1990 graduate of  Continental School of Beauty.

She was employed as a teacher’s aide with Washington West Elementary School for over 20 years.

She enjoyed crocheting and listening to Elvis Presley and was an avid fan.

Susan is survived by her children, Donna (Christopher) Cerny, Joshua (Brianna) Foster and Myra (Lee) Hubbard; stepdaughter, Tammy Willard; 12 grandchildren; and siblings, Kenneth (Barbara) Pangburn, Joyce (Dave) Veno, Donald (Bonnie) Buchanan Jr. and Esther Goodyear. She is further survived by great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents; son, George Foster Jr.; daughter, Amy Foster; sister, Bertha Colley; and brother, Jeffery Buchanan Sr.; as well as first husband, George Foster Sr.; and second husband, Melvin Willard.
