Paul Harry Shattuck, loving father and grandfather

BELFAST — Paul H. Shattuck, of South Main Street, passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville.

Paul was born Oct. 24, 1947, in Caneadea, and was the son of Mabel E. Shattuck. He was formerly married to Joanne Klein Jewell.

Paul worked as a grocery store manager for Market Basket stores for many years. He worked in the Cuba, Fillmore and Bolivar stores. He also worked at Harrington’s Grocery in Belfast.

Paul took great pride in being a single father of two daughters and cherished his grandchildren. His family came first, always driving the Aunties. He enjoyed playing cards, music and horse racing. Paul’s favorite pastime was hanging at the Mobil and playing the lottery with his friends

Paul’s neighbors at the Manor became his family. He enjoyed life and was always there to lend a hand and his shenanigans made us all laugh.

Paul is survived by his two daughters, Stephanie J. Shattuck of Caneadea and Stace N. Arnold of Belmont; and three grandchildren, Dylan J. Preston, Paula R. (Randolph Castellanos) Shattuck and Dustin L. Arnold.

Paul was predeceased by his mother, Mabel.

Services will be held at a future date and time to be announced at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Genesee Pkwy, Cuba.
