Jack E. Doxey Sr.

PORTVILLE — Jack Elden Doxey Sr., 50, born November 10, 1975, in Olean, passed away Thursday (Jan. 29, 2026) at Olean General Hospital, following a lifelong illness.

Jack was one of five children born to Robert M. and Paula J. Hewitt Doxey Jr.

Jack was well known for his love of the outdoors and spent many years as a logger as well as having operated his firewood business. He also enjoyed racing his number 46 superstock at the local racetracks.

Jack leaves behind his father, Robert; two children, Jack (Brooke) Doxey Jr. and Nakita (Deion) Rosalia; two grandchildren; his siblings, Paula (Theodore) Haag Jr., Robert Doxey III, Scott (Mindy Neal) Doxey and Albert Doxey; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother, Paula, on June 11, 2019.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Friday (Feb. 6, 2026) at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean. A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mount View Cemetery, Olean.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
