Theresa R. Ross

OLEAN — It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Theresa R. Ross, of Washington Street, who passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026, at Olean General Hospital.

Theresa was born April 25, 1937, in Lewis Run, Pa., and was one of 12 children born to  Antonio and Angelina Josie Franco Giordano, and was the last surviving family member. On Sept.1, 1956, in Lewis Run, she married Richard G. Ross Sr., who survives.

Theresa attended school in Lewis Run and was a 1956 graduate of Bradford High School.

She was an excellent cook and fabulous baker; you never left her home hungry or empty handed. Her love for her family and pets was endless. She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and never missed a chance to watch them.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Richard G. Ross Sr.; her three children, Brenda L. Skiver of Olean, Debra A. Ross of Olean and Richard Ross Jr. of Allegany; three grandchildren, Erik (Natasha) Skiver, Ryan Skiver and Tyler Ross; and two great-grandsons, Benjamin and Colton Skiver. Theresa had several dogs over the years that brought her great comfort and joy.

Theresa was predeceased by her parents and 11 siblings.

Family was everything to Theresa, her love, kindness and generosity was endless. Mom, we love you dearly and will hold you close in our hearts forever.

Services were privately held at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. Burial was in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
