Rebecca J. ‘Becky’ Danser, strong faith
OLEAN — Rebecca J. “Becky” Danser of 11th Street, passed away Thursday (Jan. 22, 2026) at Olean General Hospital.
Becky was born Oct. 31, 1948, in Williamsport, Pa., and was the daughter of Clarence C. and Phoenie L. Gable Hoffman. On June 11, 1988, in New Jersey, she married David Allen Danser, who predeceased her Dec. 21, 2010.
Becky was a 1966 graduate from Olean High School.
She moved to Mt. Holly, N.J., where she met her husband, David. While in Mt. Holly, she worked at a daycare. After he passed away in 2010, Becky moved back to Olean.
She enjoyed crafts, cooking and playing cards. She will be remembered as being very religious and loved her church. Becky was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Sullivan Street in Olean.
Becky is survived by her fiancé, Bruce Kenyon, whom she lived with; a son, George J. Corson II of Killington, Vt.; eight grandchildren, including Ashley M. Vargas of Rotterdam and George J. Corson III of Schenectady; a sister, Vicktoria Vancise of Salamanca; and her close friend, Joyce A. (David) Veno of Weston Mills.
Becky was predeceased by her parents; a son, Matthew J. Corson; and four brothers, Clarence Gable, Wilbur LeRoy, Leo Hoffman and Steven Hoffman.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 28, 2026) at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean, at which time a funeral service will be held. The Pastor Arthur Nagy of Seventh-day Adventist Church will officiate. Burial will be with her husband, in the General William Doyle National Cemetery in New Jersey.
