Linda A Fonseca

BATH — Linda A Fonseca, age 80, passed away Friday (Jan. 9, 2026) surrounded by those that loved her.

She was born April 19, 1945, in Olean, to Ralph and Mildred Ouderkirk.

Linda graduated from Allegany High School in 1963.

She then went on to marry the love of her life John Fonseca on Feb. 15, 1969, in Olean, where together they would build a home and raise their family.

Linda worked outside of her home, baking in her own restaurant, at Ponderosa and Quality Food Mart.

Other than spoiling her grandchildren, Linda’s favorite pass time was being in her flower gardens. She had a passion for thrifting and yard sales. She enjoyed playing softball and participating in the Allegany boat regatta. Linda was an avid baker and enjoyed crafting.

She is survived by her son, Gregory (Carole) Fonseca from Campbell; her grandchildren, Gabrielle (Dillon) Rafferty of Beale AFB, Calif., Bryonna Fonseca of Fort Eustis Va., Dawne Fonseca of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., Alan Fonseca of Campbell, Stephanie Fonseca of Olean, Matthew Fonseca of Elmira and Amber Fonseca of Olean; her great-grandchildren, Avery and Mia Rafferty, John Gallipeau and Aubrey Lynn Gan; her sisters, Gayle Ouderkirk and Susan Morris; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was predeceased by her loving husband, John, whom she was married to for 45 years; her son, Stephen Fonseca; her parents, Ralph and Mildred; and all nine of her brothers, Robert, Paul, Richard, David (Frannie), Gary, Mark, Donald, Bruce and Ronald Ouderkirk.

At Linda’s request, no public service will be held. A private interment will be held at a later date.
