Luca Grant Abrams
DUKE CENTER, Pa. — Luca Grant Abrams, age 7, moved onto his next adventure unexpectedly in the arms of his daddy, on Saturday (Jan. 3, 2026) after a brief illness.
Born July 12, 2018, in Bradenton, Fla., he was the beloved son of Eric L. and Katherine B. Maguire Abrams.
Luca Grant Abrams was a second-grade student at Otto Eldred Elementary School and a proud part of the “Archer’s Avengers” classroom.
Luca wanted to be an inventor and create transforming cars, in honor of his favorite toys. However, his back-up plan was to be a firefighter, inventor, librarian, pilot who is also Spider-Man.
He loved transformers, Sonic, any story by Tamora Pierce and was a Josh Allen and Buffalo Bills fan.
He was the true definition of his name, bringing light to all who met him. He was known as a heart stealer for his unique and beautiful soul and loved his family.
He tolerated basketball, baseball and football, but had a passion for soccer, especially soccer with his mother as his coach. He also loved family snuggles, affectionally being referred to as a Cling-master 3000.
Left behind to forever miss him are his mom and dad; one brother, Jayseph Abrams; paternal grandparents, Calvin and Paula Abrams of Bradford; maternal grandparents, Hugh and Dawn Maguire of Limestone, N.Y.; maternal great-grandmother, Linda “Gigi” Zohner of Limestone; three aunts, Sarah (Tyler) Howell and their children, Parker and Cooper, Abigail (fiancé Tyler Hintz) Maguire, and Brandi Abrams and sons, Jeor and Tait; and “honorary” aunts and uncles, Nathan Braeges and Allyssa Allen, Sam and Matt (Ham) McFall, Aubrey and Jesse Williams, Brandi Brougham and Mike Sprague, and Dave and Malea Braswell. His cousins, the Daniels family, adored him almost as much as he adored them.
He was predeceased by his beloved Great Pop-Pop Scott Stevenson Jr.; his bunny, bubblegum; and his puppy, Harley.
Luca believed in his blood family and his love family. Love those around you as fiercely as he did and end every conversation with his customary phrase, “Love you! Bye!”
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday (Jan. 9, 2026) at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road., Olean, N.Y. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 10, 2026) at the Duke Center United Methodist Church. Rev. Beth Rosler, pastor, will officiate. The family asks that all who attend wear bright colors, as Luca’s favorite color was rainbow. A luncheon will be held at the Otto Township Fire Hall at noon. All are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
Memorials may be made to Limestone Winter Soccer; TLC EMS (ambulance), 20 Grant St. 166, Duke Center, PA 16729; or to the Duke Center United Methodist Church, 26 Oil Valley Road, Duke Center, PA 16729.
