Bonnie Jean Morris, loving wife, mother and grandmother

OLEAN — Bonnie Morris, 75, of South Barry Street, passed away Thursday (Jan. 1, 2026).

Bonnie was born Jan. 13, 1950, in Olean, and was the daughter of Robert E. and Betty M. Pauly LaRue. On May 15, 1993, in Olean, she married Richard L. Morris, who survives.

Bonnie was a 1968 graduate of Walsh High School.

She worked as a secretary for the children learning center and the rehabilitation center for over 22 years, until her retirement in 2011.

Bonnie was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. She enjoyed vacationing at the beach, going to casinos and playing slots. Most of all, she was all about her family, she truly put them first and loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She even attended all of their sporting events.

Beside her loving husband, Richard, Bonnie is survived by her three daughters, Danielle S. (Jesse) Minges of Olean, Stephanie L. Vanderhoef of Hinsdale and Kim J. (Jeff) Cook of Olean; six grandchildren, Tavien (Ryleigh) Kemp, Latrell Kemp, Kailyn Vanderhoef, Hannah Vanderhoef, Brayden Cook and Blake Cook; one great-granddaughter, Ghiabella Kemp; two siblings, Mark W. (Gail) LaRue of Bradenton, Fla. and Michelle Carucci of Olean; and several nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Terry LaRue in December of 2021; and a sister, Susan LaRue in August of 1966.

A celebration of life gathering was held from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday (Jan. 5, 2026) at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.
