Rodney A. Johnson

BRADFORD, Pa. — Rodney A. Johnson, 62, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Bradford on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025.

Rodney was born March 11, 1963, and grew up in Little Valley, N.Y.

He lived in Salamanca, N.Y. most of his adult life, and worked at Luminite for 41 years.

Rodney was a kind soul and always quick to help anyone in need. He was very mechanically inclined and liked to “tinker.” When he wasn’t working on a project, he enjoyed reading, riding motorcycle, spending time outdoors and classic rock.

Most of his Saturdays were spent visiting his daughter and playing with his grandson. Those closest to him, knew Rodney loved to cook and eat, especially spicy food. He even won a chili cook-off! Family traditions and celebrations were important to him. If you had the pleasure of speaking to him on a personal level you knew he loved a good laugh. He will surely be missed by his family and friends.

Rodney is survived by his daughter, Cassie (Dave McNeight III) Johnson; grandson, Jackson McNeight; sister, Joan Johnson; brothers, Richard (Anne) Johnson, Raymond (Susan) Johnson, Ronald (Denise) Johnson and Ross (Robert) Johnson; aunts, Jeanne Heber and Margaret Frank; close friends, Dave Gebauer, Jerry (Tammy) Peterson and Betty Rice; and many nieces, nephews and cousins that he loved dearly.

Rodney was predeceased by his mother, Joyce Heber; father, Richard Johnson; brother, Roger Johnson; and uncles, Charles Heber and Howard Frank.

Details regarding a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

In continuing with Rodney’s belief in helping the youngest in our community the family encourages memorial contributions be made to Enchanted Mountain Waldorf, 133 ½ N. Union St., Olean, NY 14760.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc., Bradford.

Online condolences can be expressed at www.maschofuneral.com.
